Cubism

Cubism is an art movement that was started in the early 20th century. It is also the first abstract art style in the modern art world. Cubism was started by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. Another very famous cubism artist is David Hockney.  Cubist paintings are not meant to be realistic. The artist looks at the subject from all angles and pieces them together from different viewpoints. Cubism relates to photography because it is another way for the photographer to express themselves. They are able to put all the angles of their subject into one photo, which you cannot do with a regular photograph.
